Highlights from CSNOG

Here is a short summary of the event CSNOG organized by CZ.NIC, CESNET and NIX.CZ.

DNS4EU CSNOG 2024

The Czech and Slovak Network Operators Group (CSNOG) brings together ISPs, network operators, registrars, network engineers, and enthusiasts of internet and network technology. Given the close linguistic and economic ties between the two countries, the CSNOG aims to unite the Czech and Slovak communities under one network operators group.

Regular CSNOG meetings provide a platform for members to exchange experiences, discuss current issues, and share solutions, ultimately fostering the growth and development of internet networks in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The event took place on 23 and 24 January in Zlin, Czechia. It attracted more than 150 participants. The event focused on network management, legislation and regulation, and academic projects. Many experts spoke at the event, including representatives from CZ.NIC, CVUT, NUKIB and others. Whalebone was represented by its CTO, Robert Sefr.

Robert Sefr, Whalebone CTO, delivered an enlightening presentation titled "What will DNS4EU bring to users and ISPs." The focus of the presentation encompassed the DNS4EU project, its technologies, legal aspects, threat intelligence, and key pillars.

During the Q&A part, Robert Sefr discussed with the attendees technical aspects of the project, both in Czech and English language.
