Piotr Białczak and Paweł Pawliński of CERT.pl/NASK attended the 37th Annual FIRST Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, to present their talk „Using DNS Registry and Requests for Securing .pl TLD and Beyond". The talk was held on 26th June 2025.
CERT.PL plays a key role in detecting and mitigating phishing threats across Poland. By leveraging machine learning to analyze .pl domain registry data and DNS traffic, the team explored various approaches to proactive phishing detection researched during the DNS4EU project. During the talk, they compared performance with other solutions, and shared insights from deploying these tools within a nationwide DNS blackhole. These experiences offer valuable lessons for DNS infrastructure operators and those working with large-scale data analysis.
